Harrow At Home In F. A. Youth Cup

Hayes & Yeading United have been drawn at home to Ryman League local rivals Harrow Borough in the F. A. Youth Cup Preliminary Qualifying Round. The tie will be played at Church Road during the week commencing September 6th and the winners will move onto a home match against either Thamesmead Town or Wingate & Finchley.

Arsenal Tournament Schedules

This year's Arsenal Tournament kicks off with two teams from Hayes & Yeading United taking part, one for the under 19s section and one for the under 17s section.

A busy schedule sees both teams in plenty of action, setting our players up well for the forthcoming season. Teams are in groups of four and if they finish in the top two, they progress through the main competition, with the rest of the teams entering the plate.

Michael Bryan Earns New Deal

Watford winger Michael Bryan has earned himself a one year extension to his deal at the Championship club.

Bryan is a success story of FEDO's after he spent 15 months with us between 2006-7. He earned Republic of Ireland Youth International caps and was used in a handful of first team matches for the Hornets last season.

Trials Well Attended

This year's trials for September's new intake was well attended last week at Beaconsfield Road, Hayes. Around 70 players were put through their paces in three separate trial matches whilst being assessed by the East Berkshire College coaching staff who were impressed with the general standard of play.

Scott Promoted With Daggers

Former FEDO striker Josh Scott celebrated promotion to League One with his team Dagenham & Redbridge after their play off final victory over Rotherham United.

Scott, who completes his first season as a full time professional, started the match having scored four goals for the Daggers in the semi final against Aldershot Town.

United Withdraw From Allied Counties League

Hayes & Yeading United FC have withdrawn from next season's Allied Counties League competition and will instead run just one under 18s team in the Ryman Youth League.

East Berkshire College will continue to run two teams in the E.C.F.A. League next season.

New Date For FEDO Trials

A new date has been set for the trials for the new intake of students from this summer.

Following the recent postponement due to inclement weather, the trials will now take place on Tuesday 1st June at Beaconsfield Road, Hayes. All players should be of County standard or above, and be aged no more than 17 on the 31st August 2010.

Players are required to be at the ground at 11am for a 12 am kick off.
